Hi! I’m Tim

The first part of my working life I had the privilege of being a firefighter. As well as being a lot of fun(!) I saw firsthand the trauma and horror life & death can sometimes bring. I have a lot of experience working with teenagers in community settings, and presently, alongside my small counselling practice, I help lead a thriving and growing church in Milton Keynes. Although my Christian faith is a big part of my own life, most of my experience is working with people of different faiths (and no faith), and I will very much be led by you as to how much you’d like to include a spiritual element to the work you want to do.

My personal and working life has given me the opportunity to appreciate people from the widest range of backgrounds and cultures, and I’d be seeking to understand and see the world through your eyes. I have personally benefited from time in counselling and therapy. I’d go as far as saying it has changed my life. I am passionate about creating spaces for others to access similar support and help.

One of my deepest convictions is that there is always hope. I have a huge belief in a person’s ability to find solutions and a way through whatever challenges and circumstances they are faced with. I believe everyone has value and everyone deserves kindness and I also know that we all need help, encouragement, support and space sometimes.

As a therapist, I work to support people struggling with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship breakdown and bereavement. I also appreciate that sometimes people simply feel stuck and don’t quite know what they need help with.  I believe talking that through can help identify what’s going on, before finding a way to move forward.

However I can support you, please get in touch to see how we can work together.
